Ontology Mapping Tools, Methods and Approaches – Analytical Survey
In this paper we present the results of browsing, analyzing and comparing many ontology mapping tools, approaches and methods. We extract and classify valuable parameters for strict and unambiguous tool or method description. Every mapping tool, algorithm or approach must have such a description, practically usable for both human and software agents and sufficient for easy checking if it suitable or not for a given task. We will use our classifications for developing ontology, conceptualizing all valuable metadata for semantic machine-processable mapping tools description

Technology in Help of Personalised Education
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2017The aim of the research is to evaluate the potential of new technologies applied in
education. We assess the usage of information and communication technology (ICT) for
personalisation of learning resources by examining opinion of teachers in a survey. The results
show that to be used in different learning contexts and to meet the needs and preferences of
the learners most parameters of educational resources should be changeable. In addition, we
examine the views of teachers on how technology-assisted teaching methods affect the
students.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski

Video Games for School Education
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2018The initial results from the implementation of the project APOGEE are presented. Its
goal is to create an open-source software platform to build adaptable, customisable according
to player 3D video maze-based games with intelligent virtual characters. The previous
experience on the subject has been examined and analysed. We conducted a study on the
needs of non-IT pedagogues on a platform for the easy generation of educational video games.
A structured interview was conducted among the users, in addition to an online survey of their
opinion on the key requirements to the platform and educational video games.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski
